Voice Check-ins: what it is and how it works
Daylogue voice check-ins connect you with a real-time AI voice agent powered by ElevenLabs — you speak naturally for about two minutes, the agent asks contextual follow-up questions, and the conversation is extracted into structured emotional data without storing audio recordings.
What Voice Check-ins does
- Connects to a real-time conversational AI voice agent via ElevenLabs; the agent listens, responds contextually, and asks thoughtful follow-up questions based on what you actually said.
- Transcribes speech in real time using a patent-pending voice extraction pipeline that captures mood, energy, stress, and key themes from natural conversation.
- Extracts structured emotional data from the conversation — the same data fields as a typed check-in — so voice and text entries are fully comparable in your pattern history.
- Does not store audio recordings; voice is processed in real time and only the extracted structured data is encrypted and saved.
- Available on web and iOS with the same conversation quality, with Android in development.
How Voice Check-ins differs from generic AI journaling
- Generic voice-to-text tools transcribe speech but do not conduct a check-in conversation; Daylogue's voice agent participates — asking follow-up questions and adapting to what you share.
- Voice recordings are never stored or used for AI training; audio is processed transiently and discarded after extraction, making this more private than apps that record and transcribe asynchronously.
Voice check-ins are a check-in mode, not a therapy session. They lower the barrier on days when typing feels like too much and capture emotional context that a typed response might flatten. Available on web and iOS, with Android in development. All voice check-ins are end-to-end encrypted. Daylogue is not therapy and is not a replacement for professional care.
Daylogue is a pattern journal — it reads your past entries and detects the emotional patterns running through them, rather than generating advice or prompts.
Just talk.
Your day in your words, your voice. No typing. No blank page. Daylogue listens, understands, and asks the right questions.
Your voice carries more than words
Tone, pace, pauses. The way you talk about your day says as much as what you say. Voice check-ins capture the full picture, not just the transcript.
Listening...
“Today was actually pretty good. I had a hard conversation at work but I feel like I handled it well...”
How voice check-ins work
Speak naturally. Daylogue handles the rest.
Talk through your day
Open the app and start speaking. Daylogue transcribes as you go, catches context, and responds like it was actually listening. Because it was.
Follow-up questions included
Say something worth exploring and Daylogue will ask about it. Not a generic prompt. A real response to what you just said. The conversation goes somewhere.
Any language, your language
Check in the language that feels most natural to you. English, Spanish, French, and more. Your emotional vocabulary shouldn't have to translate.
Two minutes, no keyboard
Voice check-ins are faster than typing and more honest than staring at a blank text field. Talk on a walk. Talk before bed. Talk whenever you have two minutes.
