Your first guided check-in

In V2 on web and iPhone, Getting Started offers an optional guided text check-in after account onboarding. A few words are enough. Choose Start guided check-in, or Explore on my own if you would rather look around.

What happens during a check-in?

The highlights follow the normal check-in: choose a feeling, write, and press Send. On web, Enter sends and Shift + Enter adds a new line; on iPhone, tap the send arrow. Continue the conversation until the normal finish control appears, or use the existing just-save option. Metrics, color, song, and available attachments remain optional. A failed save keeps your writing available for retry.

Text and voice check-ins

With AI features on, you can type or use voice mode to talk it through. In No AI mode, Prompted journal uses a curated question with no generated reply, Blank journal gives you an open page, and Quick check-in records the fields you choose. Daylogue voice and transcription services are off.

How often should I check in?

There is no daily requirement. Capture a moment while it is fresh, return when something stays with you, and look back when you are curious. A single sentence is a fine place to begin.

What Daylogue does with your check-ins

After saving, the normal Story screen reads your entry back; it does not replace your original words. If it is available, choose yes, that’s it or not quite—neither answer is required. A correction must save before Read it again starts another read. See where it lives opens the same entry; Done for now lets you leave, including while generation is still running. A local/offline save does not mean a Story has been generated. Processing follows your consent and available features. No journal writing is stored in walkthrough progress or sent to advertising tools.
