Using No AI mode

No AI mode stops newly submitted content from being sent to Daylogue's AI and voice services on supported platforms. It is not a local-only mode: entries still sync to and are stored by Daylogue under the Privacy Policy. Open Settings, then AI processing, to see whether the control is available for your account and whether it is on.

What remains available

You can use Prompted journal with fixed curated questions, Blank journal, Quick check-in, structured fields, Calendar, and manual tags. Rules-based patterns have a separate consent switch and use structured fields plus eligible accepted manual tags; sensitive tags are left out. Rules-based crisis resources can still appear without sending the words to an AI provider.

What stops

Chat, guided and voice check-ins, new AI-written Stories and tailored insights, automatic tags, OCR and image analysis, semantic search, generated programs, Daylogue transcription and read-aloud, and external AI-assistant access stop. Device keyboard dictation is controlled by your operating system, not Daylogue.

Turning AI processing back on

You must confirm the change in Settings. Processing resumes only for future content. Words and data protected while No AI mode was on are never backfilled. Some saved AI-created Stories and generated Programs display a history label on the web; a label is not promised for every historical artifact or platform.

Platforms and rollout

No AI mode is supported on web, iPhone, and Apple Watch. If the control does not appear in Settings, activation is still rolling out. Support cannot promise an activation date.

If an AI control still appears

Stop using that control and contact support. Share the account email, platform, app or browser version, screen name, and approximate time. Do not send journal text, tags, themes, screenshots containing private writing, or the phrase that caused crisis resources to appear.
