Troubleshooting
Notifications not working
If you are not receiving check-in reminders or other notifications, here are a few things to check.
Check your device settings
On iOS, go to Settings, then Notifications, and find Daylogue. Make sure notifications are enabled and that your preferred alert style (banners, sounds, badges) is turned on. Also check that Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode is not silencing Daylogue.
Check your in-app settings
Open Daylogue, go to Settings, and find the Notifications section. Make sure reminders are toggled on and set to your preferred time. If you recently reinstalled the app, you may need to re-enable notification permissions.
Still not working?
Close and reopen Daylogue, then restart your device. Send yourself a test alert if that option is available. If alerts still do not arrive, contact support and share the device model, operating system version, which alert you expected, and the time it should have arrived. Do not include journal text in the report.
Check Focus modes and scheduled summaries
An iPhone Focus mode can allow Daylogue alerts but deliver them quietly or not at all. Open the active Focus mode and review its allowed apps. Also check Scheduled Summary under Notifications. If Daylogue is in that summary, the phone may hold an alert until a later time. Time zone changes can also shift a reminder, so open Daylogue and confirm the reminder time after travel.
For web notifications
Your browser and your computer both need to allow notifications. Check the site permission for daylogue.com, then check the system notification settings for that browser. Private browsing, battery-saving modes, blocked background work, or clearing site data can remove a web notification permission. Open Daylogue again and accept the prompt only if you want alerts.
A quiet reminder is still your choice
Daylogue does not use streaks, and missing a reminder does not create a penalty. You can turn reminders off, change the time, or use the app with no push alerts. Notification previews should avoid private journal text. If a preview shows more than you want on a lock screen, change the preview setting on your device.
